Description

Here is a nice original STEREO issue with ORIGINAL cover art of "The Blues and the Abstract Truth" by Oliver Nelson with an all star cast including Eric Dolphy, Paul Chambers, Roy Haynes, and Bill Evans! "RVG STEREO" is stamped on both sides of the runout groove.

Cover is in VG+ condition with lots of lamination lifting/bubbling on front and back but no serious damage like seam splits. Tiny little indent/bump at right front with some lamination lift. Overall in fairly solid shape...not perfect but not bad either...quite presentable overall.

Vinyl is in VG+ condition as well with some scuffs and marks but nothing nasty or deep. Playback is very nice with a few very soft tics here and there and some mild distortion audible in some of the 'hotter' passages...I've played this a few times in its entirety and while the playback is not perfect it's definitely an enjoyable listen with no major/loud/distracting pops or clicks...a casual listen might suggest an EX grade even but I want to be strict given the rarity of this album.

So basically a nice solid play copy that will please anyone not after a pristine/archive condition copy which could run you up to $300 or more!
