Description
This is a 33 rpm record on the Sono Cairo label titled “Om Kolsoum”, catalog number 17-71022, pressed in the U.A.R. (United Arab Republic). The U.A.R. was a political union between Egypt and Syria from 1958 until 1961 when Syria withdrew after a coup - Egypt continued to be known as the U.A.R. until 1971. The vinyl is in VG+ condition - there are some visible light scuffs/scratches, but, aside from one tiny skip at the beginning of side 1, the record plays very well with no background noise. The cover is VG+ condition with minor ring indent and corner wear - the original owner wrote “Studio Rec” in red on the front. Please check my other auctions for more Arabic Om Kolsoum records, all from the same collection. OM KOLSOUM LP Egyptian Arab Record Oum Kaltsoum Kalsoum Sono Cairo 17-71022 UAR
