OMAR KHORSHID & Magic Guitar Vol.3 - Mid-Eastern Music –lp- Belly Dance

Hello, you are bidding on a used stereo lp by OMAR KHORSHID w/ his lp entitled “BELLY DANCE.”  Omar Khorshid & MAGIC GUITAR VOL. 3.   Mid-Eastern music lp is centered around the topic of Belly Dance music or at least the titles suggest belly dance music.  I bought this lp for the rhythms and melodies.

Omar Khorshid was an Egyptian guitarist, musician, composer, accompanist, and actor. Born in Cairo, Khorshid was a well-known guitarist who accompanied many singers, including Farid Al Atrash, Umm Kulthum, Mohamed Abdel Wahab, and Abdel Halim Hafez.  As a child, Khorshid taught himself the violin, guitar and piano.  Khorshid's musicality in orchestra performances, original songs, and film scores was considered revolutionary at the time in the Middle East. His extensive theoretical knowledge, fusion of “Western sounds” with Eastern sounds, and incorporation of different, more modern instruments (e.g. the electric guitar, electric keyboard, synthesizer) in Arabic music was previously unheard of. Khorshid's unique style sparked inspiration from many aspiring musicians not only in the Middle East, but in Europe and the Americas as well. His mixing of "modern" western electric instruments with older Eastern tunes spawned a new, more modern sound of electric music that many use for discos today. Cover does have strapping tape on top & bottom (basically to strengthen the cover). 

LP is in fine condition with no scratches, scuffs.

I bought this record used and have taken very good care of this lp throughout the years, storing vertically, keeping it away from heat, moisture, etc.

Shipping: after the auction, I will mail you an invoice.  Buyers in the USA have an option of “cheaper/slower MEDIA MAIL at $4.00 or faster/more expensive FIRST CLASS at $17.50.  The rate for Canada is $25.00 and the rate for Europe, Australia, South America and Africa is $34.00.  US Media Mail can take anywhere from 3 to 5 weeks for delivery, just to let you know not to be in a hurry for it.  APO/FPO is not eligible for Media and is sent First Class.
