Description
OMD; Orchestral Manoeuvres In The Dark (Self-titled)--1981 First re-issue (as var 3) and Architecture & Morality-- 1981
These are my personal first pressings, copies of OMD's two albums on vinyl which I have owned since new. They have been carefully stored in my collection in heavy PVC sleeves out of direct sunlight since new.
I am selling these from my personal collection. I am not a dealer.
As a collector myself I know that condition is everything, so what follows is my honest description of the albums;
Vinyls; Neither vinyl has ever been played. They are both unmarked, even under strong light. They should be described as MINT as they are as found in the shop. However, they would officially be termed nr mint as they are not 'sealed'.
Architecture & Morality outer yellow, die-cut sleeve is clean, crisp and unmarked. There are no creases, splits or folds. All corners and edges are crisp. Described as nr mint. The inner picture sleeve is as new. Described as nr mint The 24-page tour booklet has never been fully opened to protect the spine. It is as new. It has the OMD 1981 Tour Merchandise ordering insert still stapled to the centre and this is as new also. The OMD Fan Club pamphlet (DID 12) has a very tiny crease in both the bottom and top corners (barely noticeable-see photos), otherwise it is unmarked. It has no tears.
OMD (self-titled) outer sleeve (non die-cut 1981 first reissue) is as new and unmarked. Condition really is as it left the shop.
Identifiers;
OMD (Self-titled); Rear cover, P 1980 DINDSC LTD/ C 1981 DINDISC LTD. DID 2. Matrix Runouts; Side A DID-2-A2 together with "The words were on the ceiling" & "A Porky Prime Cut" Side B DID-2-B2 together with "Easy on the white noise"
A&M; Rear Cover, DID12 C 1981 DINDISC LTD. Matrix Runouts; DID-12-A3 and DID-12-B3
These are truly exceptional copies which I am convinced no collector will ever need to replace again.
