Description
Hi. You are bidding on a bona-fide Factory Records rarity, namely Fac 6 - OMD Electricity b/w Almost. The condition is as follows: sleeve VG+ (nearly EX); record EX (very few marks for a 30 year old 7", just a few hairlines here & there).
The disc plays very well, though since it's been in my hands I can only remember playing the A side. The main reason for wanting to own this item as far as I can see is its historical value as the third vinyl release (Fac 1,3 & 4 were all posters) from this most famous of Manchester record labels, namely Tony Wilson & Alan Erasmus' Factory Records.
In the run out grooves on Side A is written 'A Porky Prime Cut' 'FAC 6-BEFORE-1' & on Side B 'FAC 6-AFTER-2', as well as the same Porky inscription.
The sleeve is a thing of beauty for all Peter Saville fans, with its 'thermo' black ink on a sugar-paper'ish card, hand folded & glued by Roberts & Sons Printers in Chapel Street, Salford. It's a little scuffed on the rear & the top left corner has a crease in it, but most of its beauty remains.
The B-side is produced by Martin 'Zero', better known to most as Martin Hannett.
They aren't going to be producing any more of these...
I'm 99% certain I'll regret selling this at some stage. Item will be posted in a stiff cardboard 7" mailer by recorded delivery.
