OMEGA 200 Years After The Last War (Bacillus BLPS 19175) RARE German 1st Pressing MINT
RARE UK first pressing of Omega`s second English-language album "200 Years After The Last War", on Bacillus Records (1974). 
Distributed by Bellaphon and engineered by Germany`s pre-eminent soundman of the 70`s, Dieter Dierks, 200 Years After The Last War contains what is probably Omega`s finest-ever composition, the side-long "Suite". Add to this the stunning surrealist collage-art cover by Harry O. Morris (b. 1949) and you have the makings of a minor prog-rock masterpiece.

"Side A is totally dedicated to the 19-minute virgin epic of the band, ''Suite''.This is an eclectic mix of hard rock, blues, ELOY-ish psychedelic rock and classic prog and a very good reason to purchase the album, with the classical education of László Benk? being a major element of the sound.The track contains plenty of shifting moods and mellow breaks between guitar- driven passages with hard-rocking and bluesy riffing and keyboard-based themes with magnificent organ and mellotron and a high level of dynamics from start to end.Vocals were never the strong point of the band, but fit well with the overall atmosphere.The result is a very strong composition with various influences and some really exciting parts." - From a review by "apps79" for progarchives.com

- Three very small creases to bottom edge of front cover (at right).

MINT(-) RECORD that looks practically unplayed.
- Pristine vinyl on both sides, with impeccable audio reproduction throughout.
- One or two near-invisible hairlines, from sleeve removal only.
- Original red-hued Bacillus Records labels with no spindle wear whatsoever.
- The matrix stamps in the run-off grooves read "BLPS 19175 - A" and "BLPS 19175 - B"
- This record is fully certified to be a German first pressing of Omega`s "200 Years After The Last War", released in 1974.
