** Please note - Super-rare original 1964 1st pressing on original UK Columbia label of R&B/Beat compilation classic in great condition. This sold very few copies upon original release, and is now exceptionally hard to find. **
Excellent condition 45rpm EP. Rare 1964 UK first-pressing, with original picture sleeve. Vinyl looks visually excellent, with some minor surface marks. Original 4-prong centre intact, with some spindle marks and 'Sold in UK' lettering. 'KT' tax duty embossed into 4-prong centre of side 2. No skips, jumps, warps, scuffs, or scratches. There is a hard-to-see letter 'I' written in black on black labels of both sides. I played both sides once to check sound quality, which is excellent. Some very minor surface noise. Tested on a Thorens turntable. Original picture sleeve is in excellent condition, with laminated front cover, and flipback design. Some writing to rear of sleeve. Comes complete with original shaped polythene inner bag.
GRADING:
All records are graded using the UK ‘Record Collector’ format:
MINT (M):
The record itself is in brand new condition with no surface marks or deterioration in sound quality. The cover and any extra items such as the lyric sheet, booklet or poster are in perfect condition. Records advertised as Sealed or Unplayed should be Mint.
EXCELLENT (EX): The record shows some signs of having been played, but there is very little lessening in sound quality. The cover and packaging might have slight wear and/or creasing.
VERY GOOD (VG): The record has obviously been played many times, but displays no major deterioration in sound quality, despite noticeable surface marks and the occasional light scratch. Normal wear and tear on the cover or extra items, without any major defects, is acceptable.
GOOD (G): The record has been played so much that the sound quality has noticeably deteriorated, perhaps with some distortion and mild scratches. The cover and contents suffer from folding, scuffing of edges, spine splits, discoloration, etc.
FAIR (F): The record is still just playable but has not been cared for properly and displays considerable surface noise; it may even jump. The cover and contents will be torn, stained and/or defaced.
POOR (P): The record will not play properly due to scratches, bad surface noise, etc. The cover and contents will be badly damaged or partly missing.
BAD (B): The record is unplayable or might even be broken, and is only of use as a collection-filler.
