Description

This tele in my family since purchased new 1976. Always stored properly inside and never gigged. Always played around the house. In as near mint condition as it gets,, finish has two dings(see pix). The guitar has grover pegs.

Am selling as a fundraiser to assist with liver transplant/Hep C patient. As a liver transplant recipient myself, i'm committed to help out with this disease as much as possible. I have a personal history as a player and specific to this auction, I was the original bass player with the little trio from Texas two members of which, have very long beards. If this guitar reaches $2000.00 (and it should!), the higher bidder will also get my copy of the FIRST RECORD EVER CUT by ZZ Top. It's a 45 rpm and has the words "plug side" written on it by the band's manager. It was one of the few pressings used to promote and market the THEN new band that's now a legend. They're also 3 of the greatest guys I've known from back then!  I'll provide all necessary pictorial and written provenance with it to authenticate who the record is coming from/going to. The record has never been played!

terms: payment due in 7 days - method not important to me, i'll ship immediately when funds are in hand and cleared. i have a very reasonable reserve on the guitar and will ship for actual costs. Shipping in domestic US is $35.00 - Outside domestic US, shipping will have to be adjusted for actual costs. Good opportunity to get a terrific axe and a piece of authenticated music history,, also buyer will be doing a really good thing for another human being. I'll be offline Tuesday and Wednesday but can be reached on my cell after 6pm. 512-569-1818. I'll be back in town from Thursday on and can be reached at my home number, 512-858-0197. Please feel free to ask any questions - Just ask for Bill -- Good Luck !!!!!    Bill in Austin, TX

ADDENDUM TO AD: i'm a bit amazed at the number of questions mailed to me about my playing with the Vaughan brothers, Jimmie and Stevie Ray - the answer to your queries are yes, i'm the B-3/piano player that played with them - Jimmie and I met and played together in the '60's when he was about 16 years old and i was about 18 - the last band i played with prior to leaving music in 1974, was with Stevie Ray, Doyle Bramhall Sr., myself, and B.C. MIller - we were called the Nightcrawlers - so the answer to all of you is yes, I'm that bill etheridge - i must acknowledge the research capabilities of some of you guys out there! --- take care, bill
