STAN FREBERG - "Oregon! Oregon! - A Centennial Fable In Three Acts". (private; *MONO; 1959). *This is a RARE musical comedy LP created for radio only. The Blitz-Weinhard Company of Portland, OR commissioned Stan Freberg to create this musical comedy to celebrate the Centennial (100th) 'birthday' of the state of Oregon. It was recorded at Capitol records but released privately. The cast includes: Stan Freberg, Stubby Kaye, Helen Kleeb, Byron Kane, John Frank, Barbara Ford, Lou Merrill. Music arranged and conducted by Billy May with vocals by Jud Conlon's Rhythmaires. Side one of the LP is the musical in it's entirety. Side two is just the songs. **Thick vinyl is VG, shiny bright with light surface marks. Plays with only occasional light surface noise.
