Description

Here is a VERY RARE vintage lp album, one of the "holy grail" records up for sale: "Buddy Holly" the self titled album released in 1958, this a scarce 1st pressing was actually released during Buddy's brief but stellar lifetime! This is the original 1958 maroon label first pressing with silver print! Songs include: Peggy Sue, Listen to me, Fats Domino's "Valley of tears", Everyday, Little Richard's "Ready Teddy", Words of love (later covered by the Beatles), "Rave on" and MORE! The vintage rigid record has been well loved and rates GOOD+, is clean and has gloss, has many light marks and some small needle marks on both sides, has been PLAY TESTED! Plays from start to finish with very good sound quality, some light noise, nothing heavy, and only one jump on the intro to "Baby Me" (did not repeat) and otherwise an enjoyable listen! Side one label has two small black marks (see photo). Includes the vintage Decca baggie inner sleeve, no splits! The cover rates VG+, front is clean with nice portrait of Buddy, has good color, has edge wear but edges and corners are solid, no splits, no tape, binder edge is readable, the back has some faint stains (see all photos).
