Description
This listing is for the 1963 Phil Spector Philles Records release of the Bob B. Soxx And The Blue Jeans (The Blossoms, Darlene Love, Bobby Sheen) album titled: Zip A Dee Doo Dah - Philles Records number PHLP 4002. The record is in Mint- Condition with Clean Labels. Some of the songs on the album are: "Dear (Here Comes My Baby)" which was later released by Toni Jones on Smash, "Let The Good Times Roll" which they gave a GREAT PERFORMANCE ON, "Why Do Lovers Break Each Others Heart", "My Heart Beat A Little Bit Faster", "Jimmy Baby", "White Cliffs Of Dover" "Zip A Dee Doo Dah" etc. The Cover is Still In Shrink Wrap with all seams Intact and graded a basic VG++. The reason for not grading the cover a strong VG++ or higher is under the shrink wrap, there looks to be some wear in a couple of areas on the front and some around the picture in the center back. I don't know if this is from when it was manufactured or possibly it could be the cover did not originally have factory shrink wrap in 1963 and got some wear until the shrink wrap was eventually added by the distributors when they were sending the discontinued stock to the cut-out bins later in the '60s. PRIOR to around 1965 there was no industry wide practice of shrink wrapping when manufacturing, it was the decision of each record company if they wanted to absorb the cost to shrink wrap their LPs.
