Here is a RARE MONO album from my collection offered up for auction: A vintage 1967 1st pressing of The Beatles classic release "SGT PEPPERS LONELY HEARTS CLUB BAND" featuring the different MONO SOUND MIX! This album is complete with the Pepper insert and red inner sleeve and FACTORY MISPRINT! "WITH a little help from my friends" is incorrectly titled "A little help from my friends" on rear cover! (see photos) Released in 1967 by Capitol MAS-2653 mono. The record grades VG+ close to EX, is clean and glossy, has a couple of marks and some sleeve wear, has been PLAY TESTED. Plays with very good sound quality, no skips, no jumps, a few light pops on intro to "Within And Without You" and "Lovely Rita", overall minimal surface noise, clear sound and a very enjoyable listen! The Capitol rainbow band labels are clean and bright, no signatures, has the vintage shorter perimeter print. Deadwax hand etching reads: side one MAS-1-2653-G-12: and a tiny sun symbol, side two MAS-2-2653-F-3: and a tiny sun symbol. The gatefold jacket rates NEAR MINT, color is vibrant inside and out, clean, no stains, no signatures or writing, no tape, all edges and corners solid, no wear, binder edge readable, the rear cover is in outstanding shape with no ring wear, all lyrics readable, only flaw is tiny bump on binder edge (see photo). The inside gatefold is clean and bright, NO center split, WOW! Includes the custom red printed inner sleeve and a "Sgt. Pepper's" insert in great shape, clean, no stains, only light wear!
