Description

JOHNNY BURNETTE & THE ROCK'N'ROLL TRIO, Coral Records #CRL57080, 1956. COVER: except for light 6" scratch 2" from bottom (see pic), front shows virtually no wear, no ring, colors fresh and bright, background is overall white with some very, very light "age mellowing" along the bottom, no stains, no writing; corners "bumped" but not rounded, torn or showing board; top and bottom seam splits about 10" from right toward spine; about two- thirds of spine paper cracked, but can read all printing on the spine; back of cover even nicer...white, bright, no marks, stains or writing, no problems. "Printed in U.S.A." in lower right corner of front and back sides; a VG+. LABELS: bright maroon, clean, no visible wear, tears, writing, stains or other problems; VG+. VINYL: thick vinyl shows marks, rubs and plenty of original gloss; a 7mm X 2mm vinyl flaw in the 1st track of Side 1 ("Honey Hush," see pic) - I have examined this flaw carefully, and it is a vinyl lamination, not a needle drop. I have a Yamaha turntable with a Ortofon OM5E cartridge and 78rpm stylus, the record plays through with no skips and plays through this small flaw with only a few revolutions of "scratchy" sound distortion; "MG5032T2" is machine-stamped in the dead wax; it is a strong VG.
