PRESTIGE/NEW JAZZ: NJLP-8252 "OUT THERE" ERIC DOLPHY
Original Pressing ERIC DOLPHY LP on the PRESTIGE/NEW JAZZ Label
This auction is for an original, first pressing, mono, silver on maroon label, PRESTIGE/NEW JAZZ Records, 1960 release of "OUT THERE" NJLP-8252, by ERIC DOLPHY, complete with DEEP GROOVE. The original jacket is made of the older "heavier" cardboard. The album features ERIC DOLPHY - alto, flute and clarinets; RON CARTER - cello; GEORGE DUVIVIER - bass; and ROY HAYNES - drums.
The LP is not play graded but visually I would rate it VG+ based on Goldmine standards: Disc has retained nearly all of its original luster and looks nice. There are a few light scuffs but these don't look too bad. Moderate spindle marks. The original jacket has some wear with a name stamped on the lower right corner. Otherwise no other marks or writing. The edges have wear on all three sides with full seam split on top coming down the title seam approx. 3" and an approx. 2" center split on bottom edge. Some wear to corners. Back cover shows some wear and toning but no writing, labels, or marks. Record ships with non-original inner sleeve. No reserve!
