ORIG WILCOX GAY Recordio-Pro MASTER & TURNTABLE UNITS A-101, A-102 PAIR CUTTER

Up for auction is this incredibly rare, vintage, original Wilcox Gay, Tube RECORDIO-PRO set.  This is a wonderful set, appears to be completely intact, fundamentally sound and in good condition for it's age (Roughly 1941).  These items are not tested because the power cord is completely intact, but frayed.  Please look at the photos of this item. This auction includes 2 units plus many extras (including the manual!!)

The first one of the two units is the Master Unit Model A-101.  This is what the other unit plugs into and contains a radio, inputs for 2 A-102s (set originally just came with one), power amp (total of 10 tubes), controls etc.  It has a wonderful Bakelite face plate over the radio.  Please see photos for control configuration and condition.  All of this packaged in a tweed case with handle.  THIS IS THE ONLY ONE OF THESE I HAVE EVER SEEN AND I CAN FIND VERY LITTLE ABOUT IT ON THE NET.  The other half of the set (A-102 Turntable Unit) will come up on very rare occasion (often fetching more than $500), but this is the only Master Unit I have seen anywhere.

The second of the two units is the Turntable Unit Model A-102.  This is the actual record cutter and player.  Everything appears to be present and intact.  There is a cutting stylus.  Both cords (which connect to the Master Unit) are present and in FANTASTIC SHAPE!  This example is very clean and none of the components appear to have any problems.  It comes in a matching tweed case like the Master Unit.  This unit also has a compartment where the following items were found and are included in this auction with the exception of the microphone:

• Original to the set, matching Shure "Brown Bullet" 9822B Microphone (up for auction separately.  Take a look at my other items to view, it was the one which was sold with this unit and is beautiful)
• Original Owners Manual (This manual is for both the Master Unit and the Turntable unit containing schematics)
• The original cylinder which is placed on the spindle to hold the turntable in place while carrying
• 2 Blank Discs
• Extra needles and/or cutting styluses
• "Vibratone Recording Stylus" Card
• Bottle (empty) of "Dutotone Record Preserver"
