Red Hot Chili Peppers - Californication

ORIGINAL 1999 US release on Warner Bros. Records. Vinyl is in VERY STRONG VG+ condition. I would really call it NM, but I’ll be conservative just to be safe. Cover is in the lower half of VG+. Still good, but some minor issues noted in the images.


The reason you’ll want to buy this is because of the rarity of the center labels on each disc. They are NOT the cream colored Warner Bros. shield labels, nor are they the later blue/red labels that match the cover art. These are BURBANK LABELS that Warner Bros. used to use in the mid-1970’s with the palm trees and “Burbank, Home of Warner Bros. Records” across the top. As far as I can tell from other sites that have stats on how many of each version people have collected, the Burbank labels are a 6 in 100 occurrence. Again, this is an ORIGINAL 1999 pressing. You can see the other indicators of that in the catalog number on each label, with the “1” in front of “47386,” the numbers in the UPC code UNDER the bars, and the Warner Bros. shield logo on the back. There is also an alignment of text you can look at, but that’s a little more tricky and the previous indicators are evidence enough. I don’t know why these labels were used, but it certainly adds to this being a California thing. I hate to get rid of it… but I know it’ll be enjoyed wherever it gets to.
