This is the unique, legendary and highly collectable ORIGINAL German pressing complete with the paper thin amazing cover from 1976, I am also throwing in a more common re-issue too SO "YES" THIS AUCTION IS FOR BOTH THE ORIGINAL & THE RE-ISSUE. The original is rare of course in itself BUT.....and here's the difference.....this is a HYPER RARE one because it is one of the VERY FIRST PRESSINGS which incorrectly credits Chris Thomas on the B Side, as you know, this happened in the UK as well where Singles were quickly withdrawn thereby creating a genuine collectors item. The same sold on eBay, in November, for £314 and in December for £341 (UK). Well let me tell you that there are one hell of a lot more UK pressings than German Singles out there because few Germans were caught up in the Punk fever that this record helped ignite in the UK so nearly all I imagine were unsold at that time and no doubt incinerated or met some other sticky end. The later red custom EMI sleeves had the correct credit to the correct producer Dave Goodman on the label, if you are fortunate enough to already own a picture sleeve of this release then I'm sure you will want to check it. The jacket is based on the shock, scandal and ‘filth and the fury’ photo which accompanied the reports in the national newspapers following the now legendary Bill Grundy show on UK's London Weekend television, far nicer don't you think than the boring UK sleeve which had a black jacket created to reflect the blank generation boredom and bleakness of the country under particular scrutiny during the 3mins 35 secs of glorious mayhem within the grooves of this wonderful, treasured piece of plastic. On the flip is of course ‘I Wanna Be Me’. Although now 36 years old and of thin paper, typical of German picture sleeves of the time, as you will see from the scan this model is still in MINT (UN-PLAYED) condition. It's a totally unique and stunning collectors item, I am also throwing in a re-issue (ALSO UN-PLAYED) along with the original item, SO YES THIS AUCTION IS FOR BOTH THE ORIGINAL AND THE RE-ISSUE VERSION - THE WINNING BIDDER WILL WIN/RECEIVE BOTH ITEMS, PLEASE CHECK THE ABOVE IMAGES TO SEE THE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN THE TWO, THE RE-ISSUE HAS A MUCH THICKER SLEEVE AND THE ORIGINAL VINYL HAS THE NECKLACE AFTER THE RUN OUT GROOVE, THE RE-ISSUE HAS THE MATRIX NUMBERS: SEX A & SEX B WHEREAS THE ORIGINAL HAS THE MATRIX NUMBERS: 06 294 A - 1 & 06 294 B -1 BOTH ITEMS ARE IN PRISTINE CONDITION & YOU WON'T FIND ANY BETTER THAN THIS, THE ORIGINAL IS A PROPER GEM.The small print!!!
