Hi All, its been some time since I put a few records up for auction, however, the thinning out of my collection continues and I’ve sorted out a few choice cuts in the collection for your consideration as well as a few ‘vinyl staples’ for the discerning new entrant to vinyl collecting. OK for your consideration we have:
Title: ELECTRIC LADYLAND by THE JIMI HENDRIX EXPERIENCE
Cat No: 613 009
Issue: Original 1968 issue on the BLK & SILVER TRACK Label
Vinyl Condition visual: The two vinyl’s grade as VG+. The vinyl has retained some of its gloss and sheen and both discs are clean; essentially showing only the minimum of careful handling marks. There are no major marks to the vinyl to report, All in all, VG copy of this collectable.
Vinyl Condition Playback: The vinyl grades as VG+; almost but not quite totally silent at the run-ins, and between the tracks, however, for completeness there are occasional low level/mild static clicks/pops – but these are hardly detectable even with headphones on. Aside from this, the playback is VG and the music is delivered superbly. The both discs sit perfectly flat on the turntable.
Label Condition: Ex; just look at the pics. Aside from a few very very light spindle marks there is no damage, writing or unwanted blemishes at all to the labels. The silver script is very clean and legible.
Cover Front: The front cover Grades as EX- ; the laminated front is clean and undamaged and has retained its shape very well. The central image is clear and the lamination is excellent and intact. No notable creases/splits etc, just very light and mild aging and some light ring wear when held to the light. A few minor laminate creases/feathering at the edges as you would expect. All edges are secure; overall an excellent example of this sleeve.
Cover Back: EX; the laminated back is as for the front, EX condition being clean and essentially damage free. The inner of this gate-fold sleeve is also in EX condition with EX lamination and damage free.
Spine: EX; the spine is intact, clean with good lamination cover and retaining much of its square appearance. .
Corners: VG+; mild and gentle knocks but mostly retaining their shape.
Summary: A fab album and a staple of any collection. If you’re a seasoned campaigner you know how difficult it is to find this LP in anything like acceptable condition. This copy is a strong VG+. Good stuff like this will only get more difficult to find in the future so here’s your chance to grab a very nice copy of this sought after album. With regard to postage, all records will be posted in 12” Defenda- corrugated mailers so they should arrive as they left me. Finally, I offer a no nonsense refund if you’re not delighted with your purchase, less postage of course, which hopefully provides you with sufficient confidence to take a shot, and if you do, good luck.
