Hi All, the thinning out of my collection continues and I’ve sorted out a few more choice cuts in the collection for your consideration as well as a few ‘vinyl staples’ for the discerning new entrant to collecting. For your consideration we have:
Title: FOUR SAIL by LOVE
Cat No: EKS 74049 – STEREO
Issue: Original 1969 issue on the ELEKTRA Label
Vinyl Condition visual: Visually, the vinyl grades as EX+; it has retained much of its gloss and some of its sheen. The surfaces to both sides are in EX condition with just a few light marks and a few very, very light wispy marks/scratches, however these are all non-feelable, pretty superficial and do not affect play.
Vinyl Condition Playback: The vinyl grades as VG+ and nearly EX; almost but not quite silent at the run-in, thereafter some very mild and low level audible static and occasional clicks and pops during the playback, this is more evident when wearing headphones and less so when listening through speakers. That said, it is still a fab listen through headphones. There are no skips or jumps and the vinyl lays flat on the turntable.
Label Condition: EX; fine examples, aside from some very light spindle marks there is no other damage, writing or unwanted blemishes to the labels at all. The text is clear and legible on these lovely flat-matt labels.
Cover Front: The front of this unlaminated sleeve grades as VG. Ageing gracefully - a few mild folds at the top edge and a few dings at the open edge, and some ring wear is evident. All the edges are good with good colour cover which is a bit unusual for an unlaminated sleeve.
Cover Back: VG; the unlaminated back is in VG condition overall with some slight browning to the white areas, two creases at the opening edge side and a bit of ring wear.
Spine: EX; the spine is intact and all the text is legible. Its retained a pretty decent square shape and you can see the pinched corners, just a few minor dents in places.
Corners: VG; some very mild knocks to all corners.
Summary: Again a brill album by a truly fab band. I have owned and cherished this album for some years now and as copies go, whilst not mint, it is a strong VG+ and would enhance most collections.
Postage: With regard to postage, all records will be posted in 12” Defenda- corrugated mailers so they should arrive as they left me. Finally, I offer a no nonsense refund if you’re not delighted with your purchase, less postage of course, which hopefully provides you with sufficient confidence to take a shot, and if you do, good luck.
