THIS IS A COPY OF THE FIRST PRESSING OF THE JANIS JOPLIN LP “PEARL” ON THE UK CBS LABEL AND IS VERY RARE IN THIS CONDITION! THE VINYL IS IN MINT CONDITION!

Matrices are A1/B1.

The record labels are in STUNNING condition (see picture) with NO wear, NO writing, and NO spindle marks. I BOUGHT THIS RECORD WHEN IT CAME OUT AND IT HAS RARELY BEEN PLAYED AND THEN ONLY ON TOP QUALITY HI-FI EQUIPMENT. The vinyl is in SUPERB condition with NO scratches, NO scuff marks and NO signs of wear. THE RECORD STILL RETAINS EVERY BIT OF ITS ORIGINAL 'JUST PRESSED' LOOK! The record sounds as STUNNING as the visual! It plays with CRYSTAL CLEAR UNDISTORTED SOUND, NO sticking, NO jumps, and NO crackle! The record plays SUPERBLY with ZERO DISTORTION! Believe me this record is NOT overgraded in ANY way! Brilliant!!

The cover has NO wear to spine apart from a 0.5cm area where the colour has worn away. There is LIGHT seamwear to the bottom left of the front cover. There is wear to the EXTREME corners of the front and back cover. The opening edges are straight with LITTLE EVIDENCE OF USE. There is LIGHT rubbing to the front and back cover. The most obvious defect is CREASING. The front cover has a 2cm and a 4cm vertical crease from the top edge. There are a few LIGHT HINTS of very short vertical creasing to the top and bottom edges. There are 3 x 1 cm horizontal creases from the spine. There is moderate seamwear to the top edge and SIGNIFICANT seamwear to the bottom edge. The back cover has similar creasing to the sides and, most significantly, an 11cm diagonal crease to the bottom left corner and a 15cm diagonal crease to the bottom right corner. Please LOOK CAREFULLY at the pictures to assess the overall condition of the cover. There is NO writing.
