Description
My husband went to this gig and was given this poster by the manager of the venue. He traveled to Paris via the ferry - in 1981 he'd never been out of the UK. And he didn't have a ticket to the gig, but he hung around outside the venue before it started. The road crew recognized him (he went to ALL The Clash's gigs) and let him in. Later he'd go back stage and drink with the crew and that's when the manager of the venue gave him and a few other guys one of these posters. He recalls being finally chased out of the venue by a growling Alsatian, that was the Theatre Mogador's night watchman! He slept rough that night (morning) before returning home to Streatham via the ferry.
SIZE: approximately 44 inches x 30 inches (BIG!)
It's NOT mint - it's got lots of little flaws, see photos. The colours, however are still vibrant. It's got to be rare.
It will be posted to you folded once and rolled up in a tube. That's how we've been storing it for the past 10 years when we found it among my husband's "sacred junk."
