OK, BACK TO SOME GOOD 45s OF VARIOUS MUSICAL STYLES FOR A WEEK OR TWO - This is a reasonably priced ORIGINAL 1962 U.S. Cameo Records 45 RPM record with red labels containing the songs '(Happy Birthday) Mr. Twenty-One'/'Please Let It Be Me' from early 1960s Philly 'Wah-Watusi' girl group dance favorites The Orlons.   It is Cameo Records catalog number C-211, and is a GUARANTEED 1962 ORIGINAL, NOT A 'REPRO' REPRODUCTION AND NOT A 1970s ERA 'COLLECTORS PRESSING'!!  This was The Orlons' second single release, and is quite different stylistically from their uptempo danceable releases which followed - Both sides of this 45 are real nice pure doo-wop ballads.  This 45 is much rarer than the Orlons' later Cameo singles which were released after they found their winning hitmaking formula with 'The Wah-Watusi', their next release - This single has not been offered on eBay either at auction or at fixed price sale during the past month as far as I can tell.  Condition of record is conservatively a mid VG+ with a small to moderate amount of surface marks, none of which can be felt and none of which affect play.  Record plays through nicely with some light surface noise which I believe is inherent in the pressing.  Both labels have some writing in blue ballpoint, A-side label has an etched letter 'M', and both labels have some contact wear as can be seen in the accompanying image.  This rare 45 would make a choice addition to any 1960s girl group or doo-wop record collection!
