ORNETTE COLEMAN - The Shape Of Jazz To Come - Atlantic 1317- (bullseye label) Address on back cover; 157 West 57 Street, New York 19, New York. It was his debut album for the label, which released it in late 1959. The album was one of the first avant-garde jazz albums ever recorded. The album was considered shocking at the time, because it had no recognizable chord structgure and included simultaneous improvisation by the performers in a much freer style than previously heard in jazz. - VG++ initials written on label - cover is VG+(namewritten on edge of cover and back cover a little dirty/musty on bottom left side.
