Description
London Records stereo four disc boxed set OSA 1401 with early black FFSS wideband label discs, pressed in England by Decca Records. All four discs are the earliest heavy vinyl, flat-edged "pancake" pressings. Early blueback box with the black and white photograph of Siepi on the front. Libretto included. Issued on Decca as SXL 2117-20. Stampers are 1E 1K 1K 1K 1K 1E 1K 1K. The very first pressing.
Mozart, Don Giovanni, complete opera, with Cesare Siepi, Lisa Della Casa, Hilde Gueden and Walter Berry. Josef Krips conducts the Vienna State Opera Chorus and the Vienna Philharmonic Orchestra. See pics for complete cast and program details.
