Alan Silvestri’s masterful score to the 1987 film Predator has been one of the most sought-after action film soundtracks of

all time. Though derided as derivative when it came out, Predator has only grown in reputation as one of the great

action/sci-fi films, and marked the full flowering of Arnold Schwarzenegger as a genuine movie star.

The soundtrack by Alan Silvestri (Back to the Future Part II & III, Forrest Gump, Contact; The Avengers; Avengers: Infinity

War, among many others) has also become a cult favourite.

Silvestri’s score is every bit as brutal and hard-hitting as the film itself, employing a full orchestra, deft electronic touches,

 and bruising percussion.
