OTIS BLACKWELL r&b rock-n-roll 45 “Oh! What a Babe” on GROOVE ’54 promo ~HEAR
Artist: OTIS BLACKWELL
Titles: “Oh! What a Babe” / “Here Am I”
Label: GROOVE ~ 46-0034. Label is white with black text, promotion “record prevue” copy.
Year: 1954
Condition: Nice VG+ with 100% of original gloss. Has a few light scuffs and a couple slight hairlines that produce an isolated soft tic or two, but no serious marks or issues. Plays with a bit of light underlying surface noise as you can hear in the sound clip. Fidelity is excellent. Labels are clean except for a date “8/15/54” written neatly on one side in black fountain pen ink.

PLANNING A VISIT TO THE BALTIMORE/WASHINGTON AREA?
If so, please consider a visit to my booth (Booth 002, down stairs) at the ANTIQUE DEPOT antique mall in historic ELLICOTT CITY, MARYLAND (3720 Maryland Avenue, just off Main Street at the north end of town – open every day of the year except Christmas and Thanksgiving) for some excellent bargain-priced LPs and 45’s.
