OTIS REDDING (Sittin’ On) The Dock Of The Bay / My Sweet Lorene 7” Single
CATALOGUE No: 601031
Pressed by Polydor and released in early February 1968, “(Sittin’ On) The Dock Of The Bay” / “My Sweet Lorene” by Otis Redding was posthumously released following his untimely death in 1967. Stax records was a member of the Polydor family in the UK from 1967-68, with a light blue label and numbering in the 601-000s moving to EMI in late 1968, adopting a yellow label and STAX-100 numbers in the process.
This is a 1968 3-prong First Pressing 7” Single 45 rpm on the Light Blue STAX label in Mono.

The Vinyl
Glossy vinyl. Deep clear grooves that can only be found on the original pressings, the record has shine, with one light whispy paper scratch/mark which I am sure will not affect play. This is a great example of this incredibly rare vinyl.
The Labels
Superb 1st press labels, biro mark ‘J23’ on side 1 label yet absolutely beautiful, it would be difficult to find better.
The Sleeve
Plain white but will be despatched in a brand new crisp white paper sleeve with original in the package.

Mint: The record itself is in brand new condition with no surface marks or deterioration of sound quality.
Excellent: The record shows some signs of having been played but there is lessening of sound quality.
Very Good: The record has obviously been played many times but displays no deterioration of sound quality, despite noticeable surface marks and an occasional light scratch.
Good: The record has been played so much the sound quality has noticeably deteriorated perhaps with some distortion and mild scratches.
Fair: The record is still just playable but has not been cared for properly and displays considerable surface noise. It may even jump.
