You are bidding on "LOVE THAT WOMAN" and "JUMP SISTER BESSIE" on Cobra 5015, by famous west side Chicago blues singer and guitar player OTIS RUSH.

Both sides were recorded in Chicago, 1957, with Otis Rush on vocals and lead guitar, Little Walter on harp, Harold Ashby on tenor sax, Louis Meyers on guitar, Little Brother Montgomery on piano, the ever present Willie Dixon on bass and Odie Payne on drums.

Otis Rush was born in Philadelphia, Mississippi in 1935 and is living to this day (age 80).

I had the privilege of seeing Otis Rush perform at a "Jam With Sam" R&R and R&B show in Chicago the summer of 1957. I remember him playing "I Can't Quit You Baby". His guitar playing was spine tingling. It was one of the highlights of my teen years.

In the late 50s I listened to the Al Benson show on Chicago R&B radio station WGES. In 1958 he had a special offer: send in two labels from a spaghetti package (I forget what brand) and 50 cents and he would send you a record of your choice. This is the record I chose. The "Xs" may denote DJ copy. This was my favorite record in 1958.

"Love That Woman" is the "A" side, is very well done, slow and sad. "Jump Sister Bessie" has a faster tempo.

I'm not a record dealer, but am getting up in years and am starting to sell my small collection, as my children and grandchildren are not interested.

Condition: No scratches or scuffs on Love That Woman. Jump Sister Bessie has two light scratches. I'd grade this a VG+. It's been stored in a Decca 45 album for 40+ years.
