One of the greatest soul albums of all time. Produced by Willie Mitchell and backed by the Hi Rhythm Section and the Memphis Horns, it's absolutely first-rate all the way through.

JACKET: VG-. Lots of edge and spine wear. Some curling at the lower-left corner. Mild ring wear and light creasing throughout. There are parts along the left edge of the front cover, and at the upper-left corner, where the black paper has peeled off completely and a previous owner has gone over those spots with black marker. Paper fraying has rendered the spine illegible. Incredibly, there are not any major seam splits.

RECORD (Visual): VG. There are many superficial surface scuffs and scratches on both sides. Many of them are quite long, but nothing is too deep and, as you can read below, it plays better than it looks. (There are also some scratches on the side one label.)

RECORD (Play): VG+. The record actually plays quite nicely. There are two or three light pops in the middle of "I Can't Take It" (the first song on side two) and occasional warm surface noise at random spots, but the vast majority of it plays VG+ or better. A very pleasant listen, made even more enjoyable by the brilliant content!

After becoming Oar Folkjokeopus in 1972 it quickly emerged as the epicenter for the burgeoning 70s and 80s Twin Cities punk scene. Renamed Treehouse in 2001 after the Oar Folk manager took over the business, the store remains a staple of the Twin Cities underground/independent music community and the best source for used vinyl in the state.
