Rarity: this is the second and final release by OCS on the Sanctuary label, and another vinyl album printed in seriously limited quantities, and like ‘North Atlantic Drift’ rarely comes up. Again, another record not shipped in shrink wrap why oh why Sanctuary?! This copy was purchased on day of release and remains in superb condition. If I have played this 2-3 times, I would be amazed – not one of my favourite OCS albums to be frank, so largely put straight into a soft plastic sleeve, record removed from the cover etc. to stop any splits, and simply stored away.
Condition: overall stunning!! The record is braded on the following basis:
Outer cover: soft and fragile cover is in amazing condition, with only a tiny corner ‘dink’ on the bottom spine corner, and a couple of extremely minor and light creases. Even with this I have no hesitation in grading this cover excellent plus condition!
Inner: lovely thicker card glossy inner is in superb condition with no rips or tears, and I have no hesitation in grading this inner mint minus (-) condition.
Vinyl: the record looks amazing and plays superbly, with minimal background noise, and this is a more reflective album with several of Simon’s more ‘folk-based’ songs. Nothing to note on the visual side – nice deep glossy finish and minimal if any hairlines as you would expect with a record that has been carefully put away and stored for the last sixteen years. Overall vinyl condition graded at excellent plus (+) condition. Handled with care and quickly transposed it into a soft, thick plastic protective cover.
