Odetta
“Sings Folk Songs”
RCA Victor EPA-2643
7” EP Released in 1963
Made in Germany
You are not likely to see another copy of this ever again. This is a sampler of the full album, made and released in Germany in 1963. Comes in a glossy LP-style picture sleeve (opens on the right, printed spine on the left). The original inner sleeve is printed in German, and I have no idea what it says. The labels are metallic silver on black, and are sharp and crisp. And the vinyl is bright and shiny. This is exceedingly rare, and in fantastic condition for almost 50 years old.
Tracks:
A1
Why Oh Why
A2
900 Miles
B1
Blowing in the Wind
B2
Shenandoah
This is a beautiful copy. The record grades to VG+, with only a few light surface-only sleeve scuffs that do not affect play. The cover grades to VG with light wear and 2” split on top right seam – the record is not stored in the sleeve to prevent further wear. The original inner sleeve is VG+ with almost no wear al all. This is a beautiful copy of a very rare item.
