Description
Here for sale is a superb one owner original copy of this classic garage rock compilation LP. The item was purchased new in 1983, from Manhattan’s Bleecker Bob’s record store, by singer/author Julian Cope. He immediately stored it in a thick clear polythene outer cover, ensuring that the high quality laminated heavy card remains in astonishing, almost new shape. No wear of any kind save for mild but visible ringwear at the lower front of the jacket, plus one 3mm abrasion where the record enters: both of these defects are almost unnoticeable in normal light, the rest of the package looking as though it came straight from the manufacturer.
Both sides of the disc have just been played through with very careful listening. Like many of these Garage Rock compilations, the titles were all copied from original 1960s 7” singles, and there are certain flaws as a consequence. For example, The Kinetics’ songs suffers from some light noise in places, The Deverons’ transcription disc exhibited one pop, and The Deepest Blue track also features one small pop at the very beginning of the transcription disc. However, all other tracks are clean except where noted below:
