Description
This is Off With Their Heads' first vinyl release, "Fine-Tuning The Bender." In came out in 2002 or 2003 in a pressing of 500 copies, but the band reportedly buried as many as 200 in Florida while on tour, so there are far fewer in circulation. I don't need to tell you that it is now rare and long out of print. I bought this copy from a distro in 2006 and only listened to it a few times. This record only gives the merest hint of the style they would later mine and perfect (think more keyboards on this one and fewer 4/4 time signatures on this one), but all of the alcohol-ridden angst is still present and it is a valuable glimpse at the origins of one of today's hottest punk rock acts. These two songs, "I Hope You All Die" and "Fine Tuning The Bender" are only available on this release; they did NOT make the cut when OWTH was culling material together for the singles collection "All Things Move Towards Their End".
The record and packaging are in EX condition. The packaging is a poorly-photocopied flimsy cover and an insert of similar stature, but I have tended to them lovingly. Bid with confidence, I keep and send records meticulously (check the feedback!). Apparently there two variations of this record floating about, one with songtitles in block letters and one with them in cursive. The song titles here are in cursive, and a heart is drawn after "I Hope You All Die".
