This auction is for an absolute find!! It is a 33 1/3 LP from the Ohio Peniteniary group 511 JAZZ Ensemble, titled: HARD LUCK SOUL. It appears to be in wonderful condition with very few needle marks or smudges.

I am not an expert, but this album looks good. If you have any questions please ask and I will do my best to answer as I'm sure the experts can guide me along to answer their questions.

The back of the album cover reads: HARD LUCK SOUL, Composed and arranged by Logan Rollins, Design & Illustration by Luke Lauch, Narrative by Harold P. Gunn, Moods and Ideation In Contemporary Jazz. SIDE ONE Psych City, Mantra Dance, SIDE TWO, Counterry Bosa Davan, Java Man. It then has photos of the musicians, their names and the city they are from.

HARD LUCK SOUL is an album of profound expression, that emotes a feeling of gentleness, depth of oppression, Joy, Laughter and Sorrow. Out of this frustration and confusion a young genius, Logan Rollins found a way to alliviate prevelant conditions, with a small group of musicians, the 511 Jazz Ensemble was formed, they worked diligently striving for perfection. This album is a testimony of their efforts. Mr. Robert Vandagriff is the Advisor for the 511 Jazz Ensemble and Society at the Ohio Penitentiary. Aragorn.

There are no dates on the album so I have no idea when it was produced.

The cover is in good condition with only minor wear flaws around the edges. On the back the name Drennen is written on the top right hand corner.

I think that this would be an amazing and rare find for any collection, but remember I am by no means an expert. The first time I saw this album was today and I purchased it at an estate sale.
