Description
This is an ORIGINAL RIAA Certified Sales Award presented to Clarence (Satch) Satchell who was a member of the Ohio Players music group. The record is the MILLION SELLER recording of "Skin Tight" off the Mercury album "Skin Tight". It is a "MASTERDISK" and is initialed "G.K.", with the number B-15606 BAM -1-1-1, the B's have been scratched through on the original, as if they were errors. Again, this is an original award presented to one of the members of the band. This is not a promotional copy like those presented to record stores.
It was recovered during an estate clean up along with a couple of other awards for the Ohio Players that were unfortunately damaged by moisture. This award, record, plaque and frame are in near perfect condition. The seal on the back of the frame is torn at the top. The framing was done by New York Frame & Picture.
The Ohio Players were a popular R & B and Pop band during the 60's and 70's. This recording was made in 1974. If you are a fan of the Ohio Players this is a perfect opportunity to get a very hard to find original Gold Record from their heyday.
