We're auctioning Oistrakh, Cluytens & the French National Radio Orchestra performing Beethoven's Op. 61, Violin Concerto in D Major. Stereo LP, original, with original inner sleeve. Rare! CONDITION: Sleeve: ring wear to front and back (see pix below), mild wear to corners and lip, very sound seams, still bright finish to front, date-stamp ("June 16 1960") to rear. INNER SLEEVE: darkened but solid and clean (see pix). LABELS: clean and bright without spindle wear. RECORD: bright finish overall, very little dulling, clean surfaces; SIDE ONE: two or three light marks running across the face of the LP and one running parallel to the groove; SIDE TWO: one, possibly two, light marks across the face :: SOUND (judgement after sampling): the marks seem to have no discernible affect on play; there is surface noise, ranging from very quiet to mildly interfering, which dims the lustre of Oistrakh's bow to a varying extent; there are no skips, no harsh pops, no jumps, etc. This is a VG- to VG+ copy of a scarce LP.

All LPs are examined in a good light and sampled on a Technics Direct Drive Quartz SL1200MK2.

KEY: We grade the vinyl alone: sleeves are described and pictured. NM: Sealed LPs; assume unplayed. NM-: Vinyl which has no more than very occasional and very light surface noise. VG+: Vinyl which has more than very occasional and very light surface noise. VG-: Vinyl which has considerable surface noise but which does not completely overwhelm the music. These grades are exhaustive for our auctions; nothing of lower quality is on offer.

For the US, we usually prefer to ship everything USPS priority mail or first class with a delivery confirmation number. Priority mail offers average 2-3 days delivery of shipment. Other methods of shipping are available upon request. Postcards, photos, and flat items will be shipped priority mail for best service. We will ship worldwide.
