Rare Oistrakh Stereo Violin 'Encores' LP, VG+ LP / NM- Cover!! = SAX 2253 1ED stampers
soloist Pierre Fournier
Here is a sound sample of this record . Read on, it should start automatically.
Sound sample is of opening track off both sides to show you the worst part of pips and crackles close to the edge of Lp, the rest of LP is quieter than these two tracks, and I assure you this lo fi Treble biased sample shows far more crackle than through a Hi fi, also such quiet piano/violin music ANY background vinyl noise is going to be heard. Side A plays for 4 mins 25" then side B starts after 20sec silence (Flip the disc)
Professionally cleaned, treated with LAST Record Preserver and FULLY Test played. This is an Australian pressed copy of the rare Columbia SAX 2253 LP, issued through HMV Mail order in Australia Australian World Record club (WRC stock No. SPE 723). The UK SAX 2253 Columbia stereo edition, made with the same stamper codes,
SIDE A YAX 26-20
SIDE B YAX 27-5
Hopefully if you have read this far turn up the volume, you can hear both opening sides tracks, side A first (Claire De Lune , Debussy) as that has some very soft occasional pips, followed by side B 1st track (Love Song Suk arr. Kocian). If you can get a cleaner sounding UK original copy, for this money, I suggest you go buy it.
so here's a good way to get the music on a record that besides some random soft static like pops in quiet passages that are MOSTLY non repetetive, has only paper scuffs in bright light . One or two occasional repetetive QUIET tics in opening minute or two (the sample sounds clickier than the LP thru my amplifier )
Side two plays Exc + but there is OCCASIONAL pops and tics especially in quiet passages
LP Rated VG+ overall (although you would think I am overrating it based on the sound sample you can hear!!)
COVER NM- Australian World record club cover. Has faint yellowing of non laminated rear. No seam splits,(see photo).
Rarely ever seen even in Australia (THIS IS THE ONLY ONE I HAVE EVER SEEN, other than my Mono version, out of tens of thousands!!!!!)
LP test played after wet wash bath, treated with LAST. 'Last' record Preservative. (archive quality Vinyl preserver, said to minimise play related wear for upto 200 'plays')
Except for the tics as mentioned, Oistrakh and Yampolsky has a brilliance on the violin that has to be heard, so if you haven't already heard him, vote now........

Lots of Rotational spindle marks, yes whoever owned this played it a fair bit, but listening to it tells me they looked after it and there are no visible or audible scratches other than paper scuffs (non sounding), Original plastic only sleeve is undamaged, but MFSL ANTI scratch/static sleeve included, to help preserve current condition

RULES FOR BIDDING/ Buying
DOES ANYBODY READ THIS?? I THINK NOT BASED ON RECENT BIDDING ACTIVITY ON MY ITEMS!! PLEASE READ...
If you have hidden feedback, or
less than 98% positive, or
less than 50 recent visible positives, (that's NEW EBAY registrations with little activity yet, that have proven your good buying habits) THEN -
I would appreciate email contact first to establish your credentials. Credentials mean that I need to know you will be paying with VERIFIED PAYPAL account, and I of course will only be mailing to that verified address. DON'T EXPECT TO GET MY PERMISSION IN THE LAST 2 HOURS OF BIDDING, DO IT BEFOREHAND. (Buyers who have had trouble free transactions with me already qualify of course, regardless of the feedback status)
Winning bids or bought items unpaid after 7 days will be reported as non paying bidder and item opened to second chance offer.
HAPPY BIDDING, QUESTIONS WELCOME
This listing in Australian dollars because I don't live in US or UK, and if you don't, WHAT A WASTE OF DOUBLE CONVERSIONS THAT WOULD BE!!! Also as the exchange rate is more like R.S. not U.S against our vibrant economy in sunny Australia
The keen price offers a great opportunity to own this great recording at a reasonable price.
