Description
ITEM DESCRIPTION:
This wonderful and quite rare LP – a truly gorgeous collector's copy – from EMI (SAX 2281, English pressing, silver/turquoise label, stereo, original inner sleeve included) features the sublime recording of Schubert's Piano Trio No. 1 in B-flat Major D. 898 (Op. 99) made by David Oistrakh, Sviatoslav Knushevitzky, and Lev Oborin in London in May 1958, a performance that can be spoken of in the same breath as the great Thibaud-Casals-Cortot Trio set down in 1926. There is both passion and poetry here, the Second Movement Andante un poco mosso an example of trio playing at its absolute finest.
CONDITION:
The condition of the jacket is near-MINT. There is some light edgewear to the open side of the jacket as well as a very minor bend to the rear panel only (again at the open edge). Truly, the jacket appears almost AS NEW – this is a truly beautiful copy, with no seamsplits, owners' markings or other defects. The fine laminate finish is perfectly intact and both the front and rear panels remain bright and glossy – an outstanding copy.
The condition of the LP itself is MINT. There are no spindle trails or other marks and all the disc plays without defect of any kind – a pristine, MINT copy.
All LPs have been play-graded and are provided with a new clear polysleeve.

SHIPPING:
U.S. buyers pay a flat $6.50 for Priority Mail, $5.00 for Parcel Post, or $2.50 for Media Mail (however, Media Mail is not advised). For each additional LP, add $1.50; for a 2LP box set add $3.00. For a larger box set, I will calculate shipping and send an invoice.
Canadian buyers pay a flat $8.00 fee for 1st Class International Mail (Airmail). For each additional LP, add $2.00; for a 2LP box set add $4.00. For a larger box set, I will calculate shipping and send an invoice.
For all other international destinations, buyers pay a flat fee of $14.00. For each additional LP, add $2.50. If a box set is purchased in addition to a single LP, shipping costs will be calculated based on weight and destination country.
Items will ship from Seattle, WA (USA). Insurance available upon request, which I will pay for.
