This handsome LP – note the striking cover portrait – from Mezhdunarodnaya Kniga · MK (ND 03820-21, Soviet pressing, blue label, mono – no stereo edition exists) features David Oistrakh's fiery reading of Tchaikovsky's Violin Concerto in D Major Op. 35, made in 1957 with the USSR State Symphony Orchestra under the direction of Kyrill Kondrashin. Their partnership is imbued with a sweep and ardor that it is as breathtaking.
Incidentally, I know of no other recording in which Oistrakh's playing has such a tangible presence – he's right there. Soviet sound engineering has often, unfairly in this listener's opinion, been cause for complaint by from Western critics, but here it is every bit equal to anything from this era, bit it from Columbia, Decca, Deusche Grammophon, or Philips.
Incidentally, there are fine liner notes (uncredited) on the reverse side of the jacket, printed in Russian and English. The memorable cover art is similarly uncredited, alas.

CONDITION:
The gradations of condition I use are as follows: MINT, Near-Mint, Excellent, Very Good, Good, Fair, Poor.
The condition of the jacket is VERY GOOD. There is wear and discoloration along the edges and to the rear panel, but that is all. There are no seamsplits, bends, owners’ markings, or other defects, and whole remains solid, bright, and attractive – a very good collector’s copy.
The condition of the LP itself is near-MINT. Although surfaces are not completely silent (and thus I have rated it NM vs. MINT), this is a fine copy and playback is superb. However, if you must have perfect surfaces, then please do not buy this LP – this is a lovely collector's copy.
