For those in the know - this absolute jazzfunk boogie bomb by multi talented singer/keyboard player Ojeda Penn is already hard to find in the regular, vocal version, but did you know that there is a superb instrumental long version? It's quite a difference as the emphasis in the instrumental is more on the groove and a cosmic jazzfunk workout with top notch keyboard play. Also, that alternative version is rarer than hen's teeth, for long I thought it was only available as a white label promo pressing.
Well this is it, the Brotherson alternate take - a release that looks almost identical to the original vocal edit (same sleeve, same catalogue number), but somehow the label decided to release some copies with the longer instrumental of 'Brotherson'. The vocal mix was recently reissued on a compilation but this one is still impossible to track down, so bid now or loose out! 
The rest of the album is also worth checking out with some more serious jazz and jazzfunk / boogie grooves like 'Happy people' which was compiled by Theo Parrish on the Straight no chaser album.
