Description

Okeh 40020 - Fiddlin’ John Carson - (A) When You and I Were Young, Maggie; (B) Billy in the Low Ground. Recorded Nov. 1923. Graded E. No scratches or marks. Playback is also Excellent with low surface noise. Being an acoustic recording, the musical content is more subdued than the electrically recorded 78s that came later, but with the low surface noise, this copy does not disappoint. Carson plays and sings “Maggie” whereas the flip side “Billy in the Low Ground” is a well known fiddle tune (instrumental).
