Description
This is Prestige Records PRLP 7223, Oliver Nelson Soul Battle, a New Jersey, yellow label,deep groove, original mono issue with Van Gelder in the dead wax, featuring King Curtis and Jimmy Forrest. The record is in near mint condition showing almost no signs of use, playing quietly throughout. The labels are perfect. The glossy, original cover is also near mint. This is a superb copy of this wonderful collector's piece offered without a reserve price. The record was cleaned on a VPI 17 and played on a Linn Sondek LP12.
