She emigrated to Australia in 1954 and was a member of the schoolgirl quartet the Sol Four.Victory in a solo contest sponsored by Johnny O’Keefe saw her return to England.Her first hit was a 1971 country music version of Bob Dylan’s hit ‘If Not For You’ .An American breakthrough followed with ‘Let Me Be There’(1974) which won a gold record and in 1973 she won a Grammy as best country vocalist.In the film “Grease”her duet with John Travolta “Your’e The One That I Want”topped the U.K. charts for nine weeks another great artist.Record sent with postage stamps.Sent with Australia Post standard parcel.
