Olivia Newton-John      "If Not For You"

This is a US vinyl pressing on UNI 73117 from 1971.        This was her first album.         The labels are yellow with rainbow swirl and black printing.       The front and back cover are extremely textured.        Her singles from this album were "If Not For You", which reached # 25 on Billboard and "Banks Of The Ohio".       She covers songs by Kris Krsitofferson, Bob Dylan, David Gates, Tom Rush, and Gordon Lightfoot.    

Her backing musicians include : John Farrar, Dave Richmond, Herbie Flowers, Brian Bennett, and Alan Hawkshaw.         This album was produced and arranged by Bruce Welch and John Farrar.      The front cover photography is by David Steen, with art direction by Doug McKenzie.

The songs are : Me And Bobby McGee, If, Banks Of The Ohio, In A Station, Love Song, Help Me Make It Through The Night, If Not For You, Where Are You Going To My Love?, Lullaby, If I Could Read Your Mind, If I Gotta Leave, and No Regrets. 

Overall Condition is : Cover is M- /  Record is VG-

The cover is mint minus with no writing and no seam splits.        There is a tiny bit of bottom seam wear and very light wear on the back cover.      The vinyl looks G+ and it plays VG-, with lots of scuffs and handling marks all over.    It plays with static throughout and some pops and ticks.       There are no skips.       The labels are clean with light spindle marks.       The record comes in a plain white inner sleeve.

Packaging :

I take great care on every package and I do each one personally.     I will package this record between two pieces of hand cut cardboard.     Each piece is 1/2 inch thick, triple strength industrial cardboard.       Together they are very strong and unbendable.       I always remove the record from the cover and seal them in a clear plastic sleeve.     The package will be marked in red : "Fragile Record" on both sides.
