Description

Original late 1950's era, 10" 78 Acetate Record disc . Oo-we-baby /Mean Woman by Bill Allen . Band was formally named Bill Allen with the Keynotes up until  mid 1957 , when a new drummer was added and band was renamed , Bill Allen and the Back Beats.  Paper label reads, audiodisc recording blank New York U.S.A. The A side label is handwritten, ooowe Baby , To Joe Finan/Sinan/Linan ? , From Bill Allen. B side of label is hand printed, MEAN WOMAN . The disc has a hole in the center and a smaller hole drilled to the side of it. This disc is in it's audiodisc record sleeve. The record is in very, very good  +condition. No cracks, breaks, deep scratches or repairs. ( I do not think it has been used .)  Acetate retains it's shine. There are a few minor flea bites to the edges of the record. Some minor browning spots on the paper label.  I have not tested or played this record.  Note -My picture of the group had been copied, not included in auction.

In 2012 Bill Allen and the Back Beats were  inducted into the Rockabilly Hall of Fame in Nashville. For their song that was recorded in 1957, Please Give Me Something.
