This is a grail of a record! A very early version of He tic E.P by operation Ivy, and to make it even more special this one is Un-numbered!
If you’re reading this you know all about these guys, the band that changed everything and patched the way for so so so many amazing bands and a scene that kept many of us safe when the rest of the world seemed a bit strange.
I bought this while I was on a tour in about 1995, I can’t remember what band I was working with but I remember I bought it from a cool little record shop in San Francisco somewhere around the Russian Hill area (maybe Hyde st)
The record stayed with me in a suitcase for a few months then eventually made its way back to the U.K. where I’ve had it ever since.
Now this is a well played record! I love this record and still listen to it on the regular, I have two copies and to be honest I listen to the digital copy most the time anyways. It seems time to let someone else own a piece of the band and a piece of punk rock history.
The record is the Greg Lee pressing L-29387 with the correct matrix/runout on both sides.
It comes with the original lyric sheet.
Please study the pictures for condition, it’s well used and well enjoyed.
It won’t effect the value and there is no real provenance but I can assure you some of the great hands of the Fat Wreck/Epitaph days have played this copy, I watched them put it on the turnstile and worried when certain drunk characters jumped around the room singing Junkies running dry.
A well travelled, survivor copy of an iconic record, I’ve priced it at a level I’d be happy to let it go at.
For me this is the Love buzz of punk rock a truly amazing record.
