Orff Carmina Burana Robert Shaw Telarc 2 LPs
Judith Blegan, Hakan Hagegard and Wilfred Brown with the Atlanta Symphony and Chorus conducted by Robert Shaw perform Carl Orff’s “Carmina Burana” in this audiophile worthy and deservedly famous recording. A 2 record set, this is a German pressing on the Telarc Label (DG 10056/57). Side four has a minor surface scuff near the start that does not sound, and the records are of excellent appearance and play and sound superb with occasional low-level surface noise. The gatefold cover has rubbed a little.
