Here is a RARE VINTAGE SUN Records LP from my collection up for sale: Here is an original 1958 Sun album, one of the "holy grail" Johnny Cash records, his second album, "Johnny Cash Sings The Songs That Made Him Famous" this is a scarce 1st pressing and this relic is still in "play worthy" condition! Released in 1958 by Sun Records, SLP 1235 (mono), this is a first pressing with the 50's "Microgroove" yellow and black labels and Sheldon mastering stamp in the deadwax. The rigid record has been well loved and only rates VG/VG+, is clean and glossy, has many light marks on both sides, nothing heavy, has been PLAY TESTED! Plays from start to finish with very good sound quality, some light noise can be heard in quiet spots and between tracks (unobtrusive), but no skips, no jumps! The rock n roll really comes through great, a VERY enjoyable listen! The cover rates VG, front is clean and bright with great portrait of Johnny, has edge/corner wear and all seams have been neatly repaired with tape (binder partly readable), front has light pen mark "28" in banner, back has pen writing in two spots, no stains, still a decent cover after all these years (see all photos).
