Description
Here is a RARE original MONO album by The Beatles from my collection offered up for sale: This is a 1967 1st pressing album "Sgt Peppers Lonely Hearts Club Band" released by Capitol records MAS-2653 Mono, has the 1967 style black with colorblind labels, still has vintage red paper inner sleeve and "Sgt Pepper" insert. Original MONO pressings are becoming VERY hard to find, overall this album is still in very good condition, features a different sound mix than the more commonly found Stereo version. The record grades strong VG, close to VG+, is super clean and glossy, has some faint sleeve marks & some small light needle marks. PLAY TESTED, plays from start to finish with very good sound quality, clear sound with some light surface noise in some quiet spots and a couple light pops, no skips, no jumps, a very enjoyable listen! Still has custom red paper inner sleeve, clean, has small hole near corner, had center splits neatly taped.
The vintage gatefold jacket rates VG+, front image has bright colors with minimal wear, front part of cover had partial seam splits neatly glued and a light corner bend (barely noticeable), back part of cover has no splits, no tape, binder edge EX and readable, back has light ring wear, no signatures or writing, no stains, inside gatefold clean and bright, no center split, has been VERY well cared for!
The "Sgt Pepper" insert is on heavy paper, is super clean and bright, no stains, no writing, looks minimally handled! (see all photos)
Will be shipped in protective plastic outer sleeve inside a secure record mailing box with tracking number. Vinyl will be shipped in paper sleeve outside cover to prevent cover splits.
