Years ago I acquired a small collection from the wife of a former DECCA record company employee, I sold many of his 78 records through the years, but because I get my information from books I had No idea the artist on this and other single sided white Decca label Test Pressing 78 rpm records of mostly hillbilly a few jazz and a few blues, I did not sell some because no artist was listed on any of the labels, just title, matrix number, and a date most all were during the year 1947, not until recently did we search the Decca Discography and find out some useful information on these. This is a flexi thick 10" with nothing but a design in the vinyl on one side and an excellent boogie woogie tune by CLEO BROWN on the other side called: YOUR A HEAVENLY THING. also in pencil on the white Decca label is 1/28/47. only the matrix number is stamped on label and in trail off area. that number is 39396, when I was taking pictures of it, I noticed it had a reddish wine color when held up to the sun. so I held it up to the sun and took 2 close ups, it is in very nice condition, Labels have black print and are clean. they are Decca test pressing labels, playing surface is very glossy NO scratches, groove wear, defects, warps, cracks, chips, stains, etc. only under close inspection did I see just a few very light surface scuffs that do not affect play, If you search for rarities like this Cleo Brown boogie woogie single sided test pressing it is a great find in this CONDITION: VG+++ . flexi 78 rpm records are very sought after by collectors unlike regular 78s that were also in this collection they will not crack, chip, or break easy.
